Sexy Foods! 5 After Dinner Treats That Can Get You Going

Food can be pretty damn sexy. Eating your favourite foods (chocolate we are looking at you here) is close to sex at times. But away from simply enjoying those delicious treats, what you may not realise is that food can actually get you in the mood.

There are some foods that are known to be aphrodisiac, which means that they not only turn on your tastebuds, but also the other nerve endings in your body too.

So, which foods are these? How can an after dinner treat get you in the mood for indulging in another delicious after dinner treat (in the bedroom that is).

Foods that look naughty

The first sexy food is more a group of foods. Sometimes the best way to encourage us to want to get down and dirty in the bedroom is to choose foods that look rude. Any foods that look, even remotely like genitalia are going to kickstart your brain into thinking about sex. Oysters, figs and even things like bananas, they could all be a whole lot sexier than you realise.

Chocolate

We may have already mentioned chocolate in this blog post (and we will continue to talk about simply because we love it so much) but it is important to know that in the sexy food list, chocolate is up there. Chocolate is known to contain phenylethylamine and serotonin, which are the brains feel good chemicals and are usually released when you are starting to fall in love and hopefully bed with someone.

Strawberries

We are not entirely sure why strawberries are such a sexy food. But we know that they taste amazing. The sexiest of things about strawberries is that they are the ideal food to feed to your partner, which you could make a part of foreplay.

Champagne

The bubbles in champagne are not only known to help you to get drunk easier and quicker, but they are also great if you are trying to get in the mood for romance. The bubbles are also going to feel amazing popping away in your mouth, especially if you share the joy with your partner.

Chillies

To turn up the heat in your life, you might need to actually just turn up the heat. Chillies and other spicy foods are thought to stimulate nerve endings throughout your body. These nerve endings will then release key chemicals, known as endorphins, which will raise your heart rate and give you an all natural high as well as getting your heart racing too.

What are you waiting for? Do you want to make sure that you feel in the mood for getting down and dirty as the evening comes around? If you do, then you might want to write out an extra special sexy shopping list.
